CADDAC's ADHD Conference provides information for adults with ADHD, parents and/or caregivers of children with ADHD and their families, as well as educators and allied health professionals.

Keynote Speaker (DAY 1) - Ari Tuckman

Clinical Psychologist, Author

Ari Tuckman, PsyD, MBA, is a psychologist, international presenter, author, and ADHD thought leader. He has given more than 800 presentations and podcast interviews and routinely earns excellent reviews for his ability to make complicated information understandable and useful. He is the author of five books on adult ADHD, including his latest, The ADHD Productivity Manual. He is a co-chair of CHADD’s conference committee and was awarded the 2023 Hall of Fame award for his significant contributions to the field. He serves as an expert for Understood.org. He is in private practice in West Chester, PA.

Dr. Tamara Rosier is a captivating and highly regarded speaker, widely recognized as a leading authority on ADHD and neurodiversity. Her signature blend of warmth, humor, and practical wisdom transforms complex concepts into relatable, actionable insights that resonate with diverse audiences.

As the founder of the ADHD Center of West Michigan, Dr. Rosier has dedicated her career to empowering individuals, families, and organizations to embrace the unique strengths of ADHD. Drawing on her rich professional background—as a college administrator, professor, leadership consultant, high school teacher, business owner, and ADHD coach—she offers invaluable insights into how ADHD shapes and impacts daily life.

Are you a business owner or HR professional interested in educating your workplace about ADHD?

This workshop is designed for Managers and HR Professionals working with people with ADHD. By the end of the workshop, participants will have a deeper understanding of ADHD and how it can impact work performance, as well as practical tools and strategies to ensure employees with ADHD are able to thrive in the workplace.

While those with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) can have very fulfilling careers, some individuals with ADHD can face several issues in the workplace. ADHD can have a significant impact on an individual's ability to thrive in the workplace. Difficulty with organization, time management, and social and emotional regulation can lead to challenges in productivity, communication, and collaboration with colleagues. Each individual with ADHD deals with a different set of challenges, therefore it’s important to consider their unique skills and strengths to design ADHD-friendly strategies, accommodations, and modification that can be implemented in the workplace.

These engaging workshops will provide an overview of how employees with ADHD may be impacted at work as well as strategies for managing symptoms and maximizing productivity. Managers and HR Professionals will learn tools and strategies to help unlock the potential of employees with ADHD. Participants will learn best practices on how to support and accommodate neurodiversity in the workplace.

CADDAC is excited to offer virtual support groups led by CADDAC-trained peer facilitators. Each session will offer a brief educational component to help relate a chosen topic to ADHD (i.e.. Procrastination; sleep; advocacy; etc. ) Based on the topic and information shared, participants are then invited to discuss how this relates to them, share strategies and to offer support to peers with similar lived experience. Our wonderful team of facilitators is there to provide a safe and inclusive space for you to listen, share, and feel validated.

CADDAC's ADHD and Substance Use Disorder Peer-Led Support Groups are gratefully funded with support from Health Canada.

Through these virtual group sessions, participants will receive emotional support and mentorship, critical education about ADHD, and strategies on how to manage some of the core symptoms that have led to substance use. These groups will be offered in different time zones across Canada and peer-led by trained Peer Support Facilitators.

Understanding Your Child's ADHD

Are you struggling to understand and navigate your child’s new ADHD diagnosis? Do you feel overwhelmed with all the information and unsure what to believe? This three-week introductory program will help you learn what ADHD actually is, and how it can affect your child at home and school. The course aims to teach parents and caregivers the basics of ADHD and strategies to help manage adverse symptoms.

This 3-week program is meant to be a first step for parents with a newly diagnosed child. It will explain the basics of the condition, along with how it may be showing up at home and school. It will provide parents with an opportunity to gain a better understanding of their child, as well as opportunities to share their experiences with other parents.

Topics include: ADHD symptoms, executive functioning, how ADHD affects the family unit, social impairments caused by ADHD, IEPs, and strategies to address problematic behaviours

Please note that this program will be offered in January, March, September and November every year. This program is a good intro to ADHD in children prior to taking our REFOCUS program.


About the Program Facilitator

Layla is the Resource Navigator at CADDAC. She is committed to supporting individuals and families with ADHD by providing resources and education so they can live their lives without limitations. Layla graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Social Work and will use the knowledge and skills she learned to improve the lives of those struggling with ADHD. She was recently diagnosed with ADHD, and understands the challenges associated with getting a diagnosis and navigating life as an adult with ADHD. Layla is dedicated to using her professional and personal experiences to better the lives of those impacted.
