November 5, 12 & 19th, 2025. This program will run again in January 2026.Are you struggling to understand and navigate your child’s new ADHD diagnosis? Do you feel overwhelmed with all the information and unsure what to believe? This three-week introductory program will help you learn what ADHD actually is, and how it can affect your child at home and school. The course aims to teach parents and caregivers the basics of ADHD and strategies to help manage adverse symptoms.
This 3-week program is meant to be a first step for parents with a newly diagnosed child. It will explain the basics of the condition, along with how it may be showing up at home and school. It will provide parents with an opportunity to gain a better understanding of their child, as well as opportunities to share their experiences with other parents.
Topics include: ADHD symptoms, executive functioning, how ADHD affects the family unit, social impairments caused by ADHD, IEPs, and strategies to address problematic behaviours

Please note that this program will be offered in January, March, September and November every year. This program is a good intro to ADHD in children prior to taking our REFOCUS program.
Layla is the Resource Navigator at CADDAC. She is committed to supporting individuals and families with ADHD by providing resources and education so they can live their lives without limitations. Layla graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Social Work and will use the knowledge and skills she learned to improve the lives of those struggling with ADHD. She was recently diagnosed with ADHD, and understands the challenges associated with getting a diagnosis and navigating life as an adult with ADHD. Layla is dedicated to using her professional and personal experiences to better the lives of those impacted.
