Sheena's Story

Have you ever felt like you're only hearing half of the story, like you're disconnected from the world around you? Sheena certainly knows that feeling all too well. Throughout her educational journey, Sheena grappled with this disconnection, as if she were only experiencing half the soundtrack of life. Little did she know, her struggles were rooted in undiagnosed ADHD – a common reality for many. However, Sheena's story is not just about challenges; it's about transformation and empowerment.

At the age of 21, Sheena faced a setback as she failed out of a post-secondary school. It wasn't until later that she was diagnosed with ADHD, but unfortunately, the diagnosis alone wasn't enough to steer her life onto a better course. She found herself in retail jobs, working her way up, until her unexpected path led her to a career in security. A decade passed, but then a life-threatening altercation became a turning point. Sheena questioned if there was more to life than this.

Sheena's moment of reflection brought her face to face with an alarming fact: adults with ADHD are 20% less likely to be employed and earn 16% less than their peers. The impacts of ADHD are far-reaching, affecting education, work, relationships, and social interactions. It's a serious mental health condition that demands early intervention and treatment.

Sheena's path to empowerment began when she enrolled in the CADDAC Adult ADHD Coaching Program. This wasn't just an information course; it was a new chapter, a whole new book of life for her. Through the course, Sheena discovered strategies and tools to accommodate her challenges, both at work and in her personal life. She bridged the gap between her understanding of ADHD and her family's comprehension, strengthening her relationships.

The journey wasn't easy, though. Sheena recognized the lack of widespread understanding of ADHD and the limited availability of affordable support. And that's where you come in. Your support can drive change. By contributing, you're helping to create educational resources, valuable information, and coaching programs tailored to the needs of individuals with ADHD.

Sheena's story is a testament to the impact of support and understanding. With your generosity, she found her way to the coaching program that transformed her life. But Sheena's not alone in this journey. There are countless others awaiting the opportunity to access similar support, and that's why your contribution is vital.

So, let's write a new chapter together. Your donation can be the spark that ignites positive change in the lives of those like Sheena. Together, we can bridge the understanding gap and empower individuals with ADHD to thrive!
