Purpose of Research:
To examine how experiences with the arts (music, visual art, drama, dance, and media art) can foster emotional self-regulation for students with attention and/or hyperactivity challenges from the perspective of (1) junior-intermediate teachers and (2) students.
Who Can Participate?
1) Three generalist teachers (grade 4-8) who teach or have taught students with attention and/or hyperactivity challenges. Teachers may teach a variety of subjects however they must use the arts (music, dance, drama, visual art, media art) to support students with attention and/or hyperactivity challenges.
2) Three to nine student participants (grade 4-8) who have attention and/or hyperactivity challenges and enjoy engaging with the arts at school and/or at home.
What is involved?
Teacher participants: 1-hour virtual interview Student participants: 30-minute virtual interview
