COGNITIVE REHABILITATION (MEGA TEAM) AND ITS EFFECTS ON EMOTIONAL AND BEHAVIOURAL REGULATION IN ADHD, ASD, AND CHD

Purpose of Research
To see if a video game can help improve behavioral control and working memory in kids

Who Can Participate?

• A child with a diagnosis of either: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and/or Congenital Heart Disease (CHD)
• Between 6-12 years of age Willing to come to SickKids for 3 study visits (Baseline, 5-week post-treatment visit, 6-month post-treatment visit)
• Willing to play the video game at home for 5 weeks
• Have internet access at home

What is involved?

Participation in this study would mean that you have to come for three 2-3 hour study visits to SickKids (Baseline, 5-week post-treatment visit, 6-month post-treatment visit), and your child may be asked to play a video game at home for 15 minutes a day, 5 times a week for 5 weeks.  We will cover parking for each visit ($20) and participant will receive a gift as a token of appreciation.
