8th Annual ADHD ConferenceThe ADHD Conference includes two full days of presentations on ADHD and related topics geared towards parents, educators, adults with ADHD and their families, and medical professionals.Date: Saturday November 12th & Sunday November 13th, 2016Location: BC Children's Hospital, Chan Centre for Family Health Education 9380 West 28th Avenue, Vancouver, British Columbia V5Z 4H4Featuring keynote speaker Dr. Rosemary Tannock: Rosemary Tannock is a Professor Emerita at the University of Toronto and continues as a Senior Scientist at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. Professor Tannock has contributed 200 peer-reviewed publications, over 20 chapters, is co-editor of a new volume on the neuroscience of ADHD (Behavioral Neuroscience of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Its Treatment), and has authored several policy documents on ADHD for the Canadian Federal and Provincial Government.Featured speakers: Dr. Penny Corkum, Ph.D (Registered Psychologist) is a Professor, Department of Psychology and Neuroscience, Psychiatry & Pediatrics, Dalhousie University Dr. Diane MacIntosh MD, FRCPC Psychiatrist is a Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Psychiatry, University of British Columbia Dr. Elisabeth Baerg Hall MD, CCFP, FRCPC, is the Medical Lead of the Vancouver Coastal Regional Adult ADHD ClinicDr.Geraldine Farrelly MD, FRCPC, DCH, DObst is a Clinical Associate Professor, Paediatrics & Psychiatry, University of Calgary, Calgary, AB Dr. Amori Mikami, PhD is an Associate Professor of Psychology at University of British Columbia
Dr. Jake Locke, MD is a UBC Clinical Associate Professor on Active Staff at BC Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Candice Murray R. Psych. is the Director of the Provincial ADHD Program at B.C Children’s Hospital and a clinical instructor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia
Ryan Santin, M. Ed, RCC. Ryan is a Child and Family Therapist in private practice and at Vancouver Coastal Health, Child and Youth Mental Health Services.
Heidi Bernhardt, RN is the Executive Director of the Centre for ADHD Awareness Canada (CADDAC).
Saturday November 12th will feature presentations geared to parents, educators, and allied health with the optional workshops for each audience
Sunday November 13th will feature presentations geared to parents, adults with ADHD and their families and allied health with optional workshops on child and adolescent ADHD and adult ADHD.
People can register for one or both days
Parking Information - There is 24 hour parking in the hospital for $14.25 per day. There is also underground parking at the Children Hospital. There is some free street parking on 28th Ave between Willow Street and Heather Street as well as on Oak Street North of Cannaught Dr to 26th Avenue. Please double check parking signs as there is construction.
